RCIA-Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

This group of individuals are entrusted as catechists, mentors and leaders for those who have approached us, seeking the sacraments of initiation and reception into full communion with the Catholic Church.  Through their constant support and willingness to share their faith, they are living witnesses of the Good News.  The RCIA process involves a “Year-Round Catechumenate,” and generally  meetings are weekly, with break times during the summer months. There are three ongoing groups:  The Adult group (age 18 +), “Seekers II” – for Middle and High School-Aged children, and “Seekers I” – for Elementary School-Aged Children.  While most candidates do come to us seeking Full  Initiation (i.e. Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) or for reception into full communion with the Catholic Church (from another Christian denomination), many are also children or adults who were long ago baptized but never catechized, and who now seek access to the sacramental life of the Church.
